Medical gas equipment manufacturer, BeaconMedæs, part of the Atlas Copco Group, has launched a new energy-efficient Medical Air Dryer, LifeLine.
The state-of-the-art medical air solution ensures high-quality and maintenance-free air delivery while offering significant energy savings.
Commenting on the launch, BeaconMedæs’ product manager, Jonathan Brooks, said: "The New LifeLine Dryer is a fully-automatic, heatless medical air dryer that incorporates advanced technology allowing for both excellent dew points and energy savings."
Among the advanced features of LifeLine dryer is the anodised aluminum base block, in place of traditional NPT pipe connections, as well as flanged fittings on the dryer’s major connections. This innovative technology ensures leak-free and low-pressure drop throughout the dryer process, which translates into significant savings on compressed air power. In addition, a state-of-the-art 441 Tower Transfer Valve with ceramic plate design helps to eliminate air losses and guarantee a reliable performance, with no servicing needed for a minimum of five years.
Alongside these new features, BeaconMedæs’ new air dryer includes inlet and outlet filtration for more reliable and safer operations, easy monitoring and a cost-conscious installation with minimum space requirements. Other features include inlet relief valves which protect the dryer from unintentional high pressure and outlet relief valves that maintain a safe outlet line pressure. In addition, the LifeLine dryer is equipped with an improved control panel with an easy view LCD display and alarm indicator buttons. The dryer is also available with an optional CO transmitter, featuring an innovative electrochemical cell.
Not only does BeaconMedæs’ new air dryer offer a highly-reliable medical air solution, it also provides for effective and high-quality air delivery. The dryer’s unique after-cooler design ensures effective dryer operation even under heavy duty conditions, guaranteeing dew point performance. In addition, the high-efficiency coalescing filters effectively remove liquids and particles from the air stream, with the inlet and outlet filters combining maximum contaminant removal efficiency with minimum pressure drop.
These innovative features also contribute to making the LifeLine dryer energy efficient and cost effective. Thanks to its point dependent purge control, the dryer does not waste footprint, energy or desiccant to achieve unnecessarily low dew points. In addition, the small tower size makes it possible to achieve considerable savings on energy costs, with less purge air required to regenerate the drying towers.
As medical air supply is a vital life support service, the LifeLine dryer has been carefully designed by BeaconMedæs to meet the ever-changing needs of the medical air industry. Designed in accordance with NFPA 99 and completely pre-packaged for medical applications, the dryer ensures easy passage through standard 34.5ins hospital doors.
