P+HS Architects managing director, Chris Dennis, shares results and achievements of the last 12 months at annual review

P+HS Architects’ teams from Yorkshire and Newcastle came together last week to celebrate another successful year.

The last 12 months have seen further growth for the business, awards success, and numerous project completions in P+HS Architects’ core sectors of healthcare and residential.

At the company’s annual review meeting last week, P+HS managing director, Chris Dennis, shared the practice’s results for the last financial year and thanked colleagues for their continued dedication and support.

And he went on to announced key promotions within the business, with Joe Davenport and Andy Scollen appointed as associates and Katie Shepherd stepping up to the Board as an associate director.

As well as financial success, Dennis reported a string of awards in recent months, including major wins for Hammerson House, an exceptional residential development for older-age care; and Carlisle’s new Northern Centre for Cancer Care being shortlisted for Best New Build Project of the Year.

There’s no doubt that the last 12 months have been challenging and the outlook remains uncertain, but our teams continue to deliver excellence and it is thanks to every one of them that we remain a robust and profitable business

P+HS Architects was also declared Architectural Practice of the Year at the Healthcare Estates (IHEEM) Awards; the third time the practice has been awarded this accolade.

Dennis reflected on other achievements from the last 12 months, too: including a company-wide consultation redefining its values, continued investment in IT supporting agile working across the business; ongoing support and training for colleagues’ mental health and wellbeing; and the decision, in July, to award additional salary contributions of up to £1,000 to help with the cost-of-living crisis.

He said: “It was fantastic to be able to hold our annual review in person this year with colleagues from all three offices, and we had plenty to celebrate.

“There’s no doubt that the last 12 months have been challenging and the outlook remains uncertain, but our teams continue to deliver excellence and it is thanks to every one of them that we remain a robust and profitable business. We are immensely proud of them.”
