FEARS over the risk of inadequate oxygen supply have led to the publication of a Medical Device Alert concerning 28% air entrainment jet adapters manufactured by Meditech Systems. The white Venturi models made between July 2009 and April 2010 are being recalled due to an intermittent fault in the moulding process which may result in occlusion of the jet. The warning from the Medical and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency comes after a Field Safety Notice issued by the manufacturer failed to spark a response among all health providers using the devices.
