Siemens Healthcare is to unveil its latest ultrasound solution to UK clinicians for the first time at the UKRC Conference in Manchester next month.
Delegates at the event on 25 June will be able to explore the functionality and benefits of the new ACUSON S3000 diagnostic system, which features eSie Fusion imaging software and CT and MRI multimodality review capabilities. This means CT and MR images can be imported rapidly for easy side-by-side comparison for increased diagnostic confidence during clinical analysis. Other applications include Virtual Touch tissue IQ, which provides simultaneous displays of colour-coded tissue stiffness and shear wave velocity measurements in a single image. This allows visual assessment of lesions and stiffness characteristics and supplies simultaneous quantitative evaluation in a simplified process.
The equipment will be showcased alongside the new ACUSON S1000, a cost-effective system equipped with a suite of transducers capable of performing up to 27 different examination types from general imaging and paediatrics to obstetrics and gynaecology. It also features elasticity imaging and contrast-enhanced ultrasound capabilities and can be used for intracardiac echocardiography using the ACUSON AcuNav catheter.
“The ACUSON S1000 and ACUSON S3000 systems are valuable additions to the Siemens ultrasound portfolio,” said Bernadette Leonard, regional sales manager and clinical applications manager for ultrasound and echocardiology products at Siemens Healthcare. “Both are designed to increase diagnostic confidence and streamline departmental workflow.”
