Galliford Try has been appointed by the NHS Kent and Medway and Social Care Partnership Trust to refurbish existing facilities.
The new project will aim to deliver a Centralised Health Based Place of Safety for the region.
Awarded under ProCure23 (P23), the main avenue for delivering design and construction services for NHS capital projects, the transformation and renovation will establish a central health-based Place of Safety suite, designed to offer a secure and nurturing environment for individuals undergoing a mental health crisis.
The project will utilise Galliford Try’s Millimetres Matter design standard, that provides a consistent best-practice approach to the design and construction of mental health schemes to achieve optimised, right first time, defect-free solutions.
Laura Hodgetts, Health Director for Galliford Try, said: "We are committed to delivering high-quality healthcare facilities nationwide with a primary focus on the wellness and support of end users, enabling our clients to provide the highest standards of care. Our goal is to leave a lasting imprint on the health estate, and we look forward to collaborating with Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust to deliver this important project.”
