Galliford Try has reached a significant milestone in its ongoing development at Milton Keynes University Hospital with the ceremonial topping out of its new multi-storey car park

Galliford Try, a UK-based construction company’s Building East Midlands branch, has topped out on the multi-storey car park at Milton Keynes University Hospital.

The car park is being built in collaboration with Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Trust.

This expansion will provide over 450 extra parking spaces, over three additional levels to the existing surface car park, addressing the increasing demand for parking at the hospital.

In addition to the increase in capacity, the new facility will include improved Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations, reflecting the growing need for sustainable transport solutions.

The new car park is expected to be completed by Summer 2025, representing a key phase in the hospital’s broader efforts to enhance its facilities and meet the needs of its growing patient population.

The topping out ceremony was attended by representatives from Galliford Try Building East Midlands, the Milton Keynes New Hospital Programme, Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Trust, and other key stakeholders involved in the project.

Jon Marston, Managing Director of Galliford Try Building East Midlands, said: "We are pleased to mark this important milestone alongside Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Trust and our valued partners. This development is a significant step forward in supporting the hospital’s continued growth and improving accessibility to healthcare services for the Milton Keynes community."
