Printed vision panels have been installed as part of refurbishment of the children’s ward at The Royal Free Hospital in London.
Part of a larger-scale revamp of the wider hospital site, the new ward has been designed to provide a friendly environment that will help to put children at ease and reduce anxiety.
Vistamatic was commissioned to work with the developer, Vinci Construction, and Kwickscreen to create vision panels which incorporate the same graphics as those used on the walls throughout the ward.
A total of eight Vistamatic standard vision panels have been used, along with 25 Vistamatic Max-XL/VistaSlide panels, all with images on.
Four magnetic Between Glass Blinds were also used on the project, giving users full control over privacy.
The innovative blinds sit inside a hermetically-sealed double-glazed argon-filled unit, which protects the blind from damage, dirt and grime, meaning it meets the requirements for clinical infection control.
Michael Korn, founder and director of Kwickscreen, said the partnership approach with Vistamatic brought a new dimension to the interior design project.
He added: “The project was an ambitious one due to it being a first accompanying Vistamatic to create a joint solution offering of customised and bespoke products.
“Combining our expertise and shared ethos of attention to detail, flexibility and professionalism made the joint offering very achievable.”
