Flooring products used in new community health clinic in Bicester

Polyflor’s Expona Commercial and Polysafe Arena flooring ranges were selected for the expansion of InHealth’s community endoscopy service in Oxfordshire with the opening of an additional state-of-the-art Community Health Clinic in Bicester.

The clinic houses a spacious consulting room, a procedure room equipped with high-end endoscopy equipment, two recovery rooms with beds, and a rest area with reclining chairs for patient comfort and safety.

Installed by The Commercial Flooring Co of Bicester; Polyflor Expona Commercial in ‘Blue Recycled Wood’ was used for the staffroom and kitchen area, with the shade ‘Painted Cement’ across the reception and entrance.

A great addition to the development, it is ideally suited to heavy commercial areas within the healthcare sector.

Replicating the beauty of natural timber and uniqueness of concrete, these shades offer an original and unique Expona Commercial design.

The product is one of the out-of-the-box design floor options, which allows flooring contractors to create a unique multi-tonal plank effect quickly and easily, with minimal cutting required.

All Expona products are enhanced with Polyflor PUR, Polyflor’s exclusive and robust polyurethane reinforcement which is cross linked and UV cured to provide superior cleaning benefits and a cost-effective maintenance regime.

Polysafe Arena PUR in the shade ‘Linen’ was fitted in the corridors, toilets and laboratory areas and is a high-specification, decorative safety flooring range combining the assurance of sustainable slip resistance with high durability for years of performance.

Replicating material, textile and abstract designs; the range incorporates clear aluminium oxide particles in the vinyl which are virtually invisible to the naked eye, ensuring an attractive-yet-safe floor finish for high-traffic areas.

Both Expona and Polysafe Arena are 100% recyclable through the Recofloor vinyl take-back scheme and contain recycled material. The collections have also achieved a generic BRE A+ rating in major use areas, helping to contribute points within a building’s BREEAM assessment.
