Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has taken a seven-year lease on office space in the city centre in one of the city’s biggest property deals.
Leeds-based property firm, Pullans, has completed the letting of 21,804sq ft of Grade A office space at its newly-refurbished 2 Park Lane building.
Having undergone a comprehensive refurbishment and fit-out, the building features a new reception area, communal meeting facilities, and a striking double-height glazed entrance.
Further amenities include onsite car parking, dedicated bike storage, modern shower and changing facilities, and new energy-efficient heat pump air conditioning and ventilation system.
Andrew Gillam, head of property at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, said the move was supporting the development of two new state-of-the-art hospitals on the Leeds General Infirmary site.
“Being able to relocate some 250 colleagues into these new offices is helping us to progress our Building the Leeds Way programme to develop a new adults hospital and a new home for Leeds Children’s Hospital,” he added.
“We are pleased to have found such suitable premises close to the hospital and the city centre offering accommodation with onsite parking. It will allow those teams affected by the development work to be co-located rather than being dispersed across the trust.”
Bruce Strachan, property director at Pullans, said: “We are delighted to have agreed this letting and to be continuing our long-standing relationship with the NHS here in Leeds.
It is rewarding to know we are helping facilitate Building the Leeds Way programme to deliver new hospitals here in Leeds and aiming to transform healthcare for patients in Leeds and the wider region.”
