Menu for 2013 Building Better Healthcare Awards is revealed
Book your place at the ceremony on 6 November
Today we can reveal the menu for the 2013 Building Better Healthcare Awards; a plush four-course dinner with fine wines after which the winners of this year’s hotly-contested competition will be announced.
To start, guests will be served orange-infused monkfish with fresh crispy seaweed and orange segments, with an onion seed tuille and a blood orange vinaigrette. The vegetarian option is a delicious locally-sourced onion soup blended with soft spices and served with onion tempura and chive flowers and a maple amaranth (a nutritional grain).
There are also two options for the main course – yoghurt and spiced chicken, and aubergine parmigiana. The chicken dish features a barbecued chicken breast which has been marinated in spiced yoghurt and is served with Lyonnaise potatoes, pickled red cabbage and wilted nutmeg spinach with a light curry sauce. The meat-free option is baked aubergine parmigiana with yellow pepper puree, rocket pesto, a truffle potato-stuffed courgette and a balsamic and port reduction.
For dessert, guests will enjoy a light pineapple upside-down cake with crème fraiche sorbet, cracked pepper and toffee rum sauce; before coffee and petit four. There will also be a choice of wine, a Spanish Quinteiro Blanco; and a Carménère red option.
More than half the tables have already been secured, so we advise early booking to avoid disappointment.
There are also a limited number of category sponsorship opportunities still available, which guarantees a high-profile presence to companies wanting to promote their products and services to attendees at this year's event. >
The awards ceremony, which follows a champagne reception and exhibition, will be hosted by politician-turned-TV-presenter, the Right Honourable Michael Portillo.
