Trunking system provides tamper-resistant security for cables and accessories with no visible screws post installation

Cable management specialist, Legrand, has launched a new steel perimeter trunking system, offering a robust alternative to PVC.

Ideal for high-traffic and public environments such as hospitals, the new range has been developed with Legrand’s innovative design know-how to provide tamper-resistant security for cables and accessories with no visible screws post installation. The screwless finish also ensures a smoother edge and neater installation.

Simple to install, the trunking uses a specially-designed ‘universal snapper clip’ to enable quick and easy configuration of compartments on site. Speed of installation is also enhanced by the system’s ingenious lids and cover straps, which simply clip into place for fast and secure installation.

The new steel perimeter trunking range has been developed with safety in mind and is earthed during assembly thanks to earthing cams on the components.

Explains Nigel Leaver, lead marketing manager for Legrand’s cable management business: “In some environments, steel is the most-appropriate option to protect the integrity of cables and underpin the service life of the installation. Our new system has been designed with those end-user advantages in mind while, as always, ensuring that installers benefit from a faster fit, more-user-friendly solution.”

Legrand’s new perimeter trunking range is included in the company’s new Floor and Perimeter Systems Technical Guide which is available as a free download from the Legrand website.
