Cable management specialist, Legrand, has made wide-ranging improvements to its powertrack underfloor power distribution system, making it faster to install and more flexible than ever.
The improved system has been developed with several installer-friendly benefits, including push-fit keyed connections that provide, not only fast installation, but also ensure the use of the correct tap-off unit for the type of system. Plastic retained dust covers protect the connection when a tap-off outlet is not in use and the enhanced system has been designed to offer an accessible fuse holder for the tap-off units, enabling users to change the fuse without removing the cover.
The new powertrack range complements Legrand’s existing offer for cavity floor systems, which includes a wide range of modular floor boxes. Available in one, two, three and four compartment options, the floor boxes are manufactured in a choice of three depths. Components are sold separately, enabling any configuration to be accommodated on site and a range of power and access grommets is also available.
Other systems in the range include Legrand’s Soluflex cavity floor system, which continues to offer the ultimate in flexibility. Available in a range of heights, Soluflex combines low-level flooring with underfloor cable management and is easy to install and reconfigure should the power and data requirements of an office change.
In addition, the company’s in-screed and flush-floor trunking ranges also offer a wide choice for specifiers and installers, with a variety of sizes and systems available for commercial, public access and industrial environments.
The improvements to the powertrack system are part of Legrand’s long-term commitment to innovation, which has included the development of several time-saving features within the cable management range in recent years. The company has also produced a new Floor and Perimeter Systems Technical Guide detailing the enhanced product ranges, which is available as a free download from the website.
Nigel Leaver, lead marketing manager for Legrand’s cable management business, said: “As the experts in electrical and digital building infrastructures, we aim to ensure that we offer a solution for every type of installation.
“Our focus is always on functionality for the end user, but we are also driven by the need to ensure that our systems offer fast and simple installation for the contractor. The new features of our powertrack range answer both these goals and complement our full range of floor systems to offer a complete solution.”
