Silver Line allows for safer adjustment of operating tables

Groschopp has developed a new easy-clean electric motor that can be employed to allow the adjustment of operating tables in surgical rooms.

Designed to aid with infection control, Silver Line has integrated electronics and a reducer gear, all contained inside a stainless steel housing, which is resistant to corrosion and cleaning agents. This drive offers no target surface for dirt or pathogens to stick to and all surfaces are well rounded with all screws countersunk.

It uses type 1.4401 steel, commonly known as V4A, and Teflon-coated seals for the drive shaft and plugs. The protection class for the entire drive is at least IP65 and, by using special cable socket connections, can be made to fit IP69K.

The range is based on the motor types EGK48, EGK65 and EGK80 from the product-line Black Panther and the winding around skewed teeth improves the power density of these.
