Conference to explore Legionella risk

EXPERTS in communicable diseases and infection control will share their thoughts on the issue of Legionella prevention at an event next month. The eighth annual Combating Legionella conference will be held at the Hilton Metropole London on 28-29 September and will discuss, among other things, a recent report by the Public Health Wales Outbreak Control Team into an outbreak in the south of the country. Speakers will include Dr Gwen Lowe of Public Health Wales; consultant, Dr Tom Makin; Jon Murthy from UKAS; and Chris Northey of the Society of Public Health Engineers.
