Diagnostic scanning services provider, Alliance Medical, has announced the appointment of Guy Blomfield, as group chief executive.
Previously group chief operating officer, he said of the promotion: "We are working very hard with our clients to reconcile the growing need for diagnostic scanning with the challenges of healthcare budget pressures across Europe.
“The demand for providing high-quality scanning services at lower costs has never been greater, and Alliance Medical is very well placed to meet this challenge. The scale and flexibility of the operation, as well as a reputation and experience built over 20 years of providing these services, give us a great basis to innovate and demonstrate best practice.”
As a result of the appointment, group chairman, Chris Hughes, reverts from an executive to non-executive role. He said: “I am delighted to announce that Guy Blomfield will be stepping up from his current role. He was an outstanding candidate in the recent selection process, demonstrating exciting plans, enthusiasm and ambition for the further development of our business, together with the drive and energy we have benefitted from since his arrival last May. The stability and continuity we will enjoy as he takes on this leadership role from within the business is a further great benefit.”
