Healthcare diagnostic scanning services supplier, Alliance Medical, has announced the appointment of Nick Burley as it group chief financial officer.
In addition, chief medical officer, Dr Charles Niehaus, has been promoted to the group board, adding clinical guidance and an operational quality focus at the top of the organisation.
The appointments strengthen the executive team and come a week after Guy Blomfield was named as Alliance Medical’s group chief executive
Burley has a strong track record of leading financial teams for global companies, joining Alliance from Tianhe Chemicals Group, a Chinese company where he served as chief financial officer. Prior to this role, he held the same position at industrial polymer manufacturer, The Vita Group, and as European chief financial officer at McCormick.
Dr Niehaus has been chief medical officer at Alliance since May 2011 and joined the company having spent five years as group business development director at General Healthcare Group, following a medical career leading various innovative large-scale medical solutions in the UK and the South African presidential and military surgical team.
Blomfield said of the appointments: “Nick brings a wealth of experience of managing finance for global companies. He will bring huge value to our team as Alliance looks to consolidate its position across Europe and move the business forward.
”Charles will bring greater strategic clinical focus to the group board as we continue to develop our services. These appointments help provide Alliance with a firm footing for developing our business at a time when demand from health services for high quality and efficient diagnostics has never been higher.”
