Zolfo Cooper has announced the appointment of Dr Mark Jackson in the role of special advisor to its healthcare team.
Dr Jackson brings a wealth of industry knowledge with more than 25 years working within the healthcare sector, originally as a principal in general practice, where he led one of the largest first-wave fundholding practices and, more recently, holding a range of non-executive roles including deputy chairman of Acromas Healthcare and co-founder and non-executive chairman of the business now known as Assura Group.
Commenting on his appointment, he said: “I am excited to be taking up this role and working alongside the Zolfo Cooper healthcare team. The sector is currently experiencing a number of well-documented challenges driven by funding constraints, demographic pressures from an ageing population and an increasingly onerous regulatory environment, but set against this there are also substantial growth areas. I believe there is a significant opportunity for our integrated and client-focused approach to provide relevant insight and advice to a wide range of stakeholders in the sector.”
Matthew Flower, co-head of Zolfo Cooper’s healthcare team, added: “We are extremely pleased to have Mark on board and his experience will undoubtedly help build on our existing platform in the healthcare sector. This appointment represents a significant further investment in our healthcare offering and we are delighted to be able to provide our clients with this enhanced combination of high-calibre industry expertise to complement our market leading advisory capabilities.”
