Why settle for white walls?

Modern cladding designs offer more choice for building specifiers

Clinical environments need to be sterile, but they don't need to look boring, with standard white walls and doors.

Now there's a fresh and modern alternative, thanks to an exclusive range of cladding by Simply Cladding.

If you're building, developing or refreshing hospital theatres or washrooms, dental surgeries or health clinics, why not break the mould and choose a bold colour or funky pattern?

Wall cladding has been used across the health industry for many years, owing to its hygienic properties and non tolerance of bacteria, as well as being easy to maintain and cost effective. But the colour schemes have been limited and generally most health providers have been forced to choose standard, white panels due to inhibitive costs of anything other than white.

Meeting all EU regulations in terms of health and hygiene, Simply Cladding offers a range of more than 100 designs, from subtle soft pastel shades and luxurious marble look to bold, vibrant colours and funky patterns, at affordable prices. So whether you're looking for a relaxing scheme to use in a recovery room or a clever way to brighten up a children’s surgery or theatre, you'll be spoilt for choice.

Simply Cladding panels are available in either 2mm or 2.5mm thickness. All demonstrate a high resistance to MRSA and E-coli in anti-bacterial tests, prohibit the growth of mould and mildew, and are water and fire resistant. If multiple panels are required, matching trims are available to ensure the continuation of pattern or colour as well as resistance to bacteria, mould and water.

Sara Summers, managing director of Simply Cladding, said: "The benefits of choosing cladding over other available wall surfaces have long been acknowledged in the clinical and health industries, where hygiene is of the utmost importance.

"Finances, too, play a large part, particularly in NHS settings where any outgoings are scrutinised. As cladding costs, on average, a third of the cost of ceramic tiles, it stands to reason it makes financial sense.

"We believe the health industry wants an alternative to standard, boring white cladding that has been available for years. Why stick to clinical white when you can have funky zebra stripes or black holographic patterns? Surely patients waking up from surgery would much prefer a cheerful, bold colour or pattern than stark white?"
