W Shuttleworth named as preferred supplier to Nottingham University Hospitals NHS trust

W Shuttleworth & Co Ltd has been chosen as the preferred supplier

W Shuttleworth & Co Ltd has been chosen as the preferred supplier for Ward Furniture items to Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The Trust have carried out a pricing review of Medical Furniture and rationalised their catalogue. This was facilitated through NHS Supply Chain. Supplier Show Case days were held at both the Queen's Medical Centre campus and City Campus sites as part of the rationalisation process. Suppliers were given the opportunity to demonstrate potential products to staff from all departments at both sites.

Following the process, W Shuttleworth were selected as the chosen supplier to the Trust for a range of wide range of products including bedside lockers, overbed tables, drip stands, linen trolleys, dressing trolleys, drug trolleys and dispensers.

Kimberley Walker, Senior Buyer at the Trust, said “After conducting a Trust wide procurement exercise to standardise acute ward and office furniture, we are pleased to confirm W Shuttleworth were chosen as our preferred supplier for ward furniture based upon providing quality products, competitive pricing and excellent customer service.”

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the largest NHS Trusts in the country with around 1700 beds providing acute and specialist services to a local population of circa 2.5 million people.

W Shuttleworth & Co Ltd, based in Oldham, Lancashire, were established in 1953 and are manufacturers and suppliers of a wide range of hospital products including ward furniture, drug storage and controlled drug storage cabinets, dressing trolleys, instrument trolleys, POD boxes, resuscitation trolleys, drip stands, cylinder storage, linen trolleys, key storage and theatre equipment.
