As W Shuttleworth broadens its refurbishment service to include the full range of Hospital Products they are pleased to announce that W Shuttleworth and Stockport NHS Foundation Trust will be working closely to develop the opportunity to save the Trust money and benefit the environment.
While this is the latest announcement of a forward thinking Trust seeing the opportunity, the relationship with Stockport NHS Foundation Trust has been developing for over 6 months. The work carried out by the W Shuttleworth refurbishment team and Moira Gatley, Contracts and Purchasing Manager, along with Nesta Featherstone, Senior Infection Prevention Nurse, has been extremely valuable in setting the process up to ensure the Trust’s needs were met.
The refurbishment initially began at the Trust’s Stepping Hill Hospital site with 7 overbed tables being refurbished for one of the wards. Following a meeting earlier this month, further projects have now been identified that fit with both the Trust’s desire to maximise the spending power of their budgets and the growing service now available through WSH, W Shuttleworth’s new refurbishing business.
The next stage of development is to fully integrate refurbishment into the procurement process at the Trust and to raise the profile of what refurbishment can offer within the Trust.
Bill McFall, Commercial Director at W Shuttleworth, stated, “The help that both Moira and Nesta provided in the set up to allow us to reach this stage was very helpful and saved a lot of time. We are now looking forward to working with Moira and Nesta in assisting the Trust realise the benefits that the refurbishment processes can offer when fully engaged.”
