Ingenica Solutions has announced the appointment of James Ormonde as director of sales.
The new role, which sits within the senior management team, has been developed to lead Ingenica’s expanding sales team, drive UK sales, and further support the company’s growth phase.
Ormonde joins the business with more than 20 years experience in the healthcare sector, having negotiated and implemented IT systems at both national and regional levels in the UK and overseas in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
He also has a long track record of success in two national programmes; the National Decontamination Strategy and Connecting for Health, and across the acute sector, delivering departmental best-of-breed clinical systems for both theatres and accident departments.
More recently, he has worked with clinical commissioning groups to secure multi-stakeholder agreement for the implementation of interoperability solutions to provide patient-centric health records in support of the NHS Five Year Forward View.
Damien Marmion, chief executive, said: “James’s experience will bring us a fresh view and drive in our approach to the NHS, private and international customer acquisition.
“His initial focus will be to drive our UK sales, by growing and retaining major accounts, and to make sure we achieve our growth target in 2019 as well as contributing to our ‘develop and build’ ambition given his wide experience.”
Ormonde added: “Ingenica has an excellent reputation within the NHS and has established itself as the market leader in inventory management.
“I am looking forward to working with the whole team as we move Ingenica into the next phase of its growth.”
