Prime has announced the appointment of Richard Powell, formed director of St Modwen, as its new director of construction strategy.
Powell has senior management experience in construction businesses, including Hall and Tawse, Bovis Lendlease, and Skanska, where he was responsible for the procurement and commercial management of the £350m Royal Derby Hospital.
He joined listed developer, St Modwen Properties, in 2006 where he was group construction director until 2019.
Leighton Chumbley, chief executive at Prime, said: "Richard brings to Prime a deep knowledge of development, including town centre regeneration, which is an area of focus for us at the moment.
“His construction expertise will ensure Prime is designing buildings that are sustainable, procuring construction partners wisely, and providing confidence to our clients and funders.”
Powell adds commented: “I look forward to being an integral part of the Prime team to continue and expand upon the successful delivery of health and care developments.
“The importance of working with all stakeholders and supply chain partners has never been more prevalent, and the opportunity to work with existing, and new, partners to address supply chain and legislative changes will be a key focus point.”
