Pathway Software launches cloud system for private health practitioners

Pathway Software has launched a new cloud-based product aimed at small private practitioners in the healthcare market.

WriteUpp.com has been designed specifically for small physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy and dietetics practices, providing them with all the tools they need to schedule, record clinical notes, assess, write documentation and invoice patients.

As a web-based application, it is accessible via any browser and runs on a range of devices including PC, Mac, iPad and Android Tablets.

Commenting on the launch, Bob Bond, chief executive of Pathway Software, said “We are totally committed to winning new business in the NHS and working with our existing customers. However, this is about addressing a new, and we believe growing, market that is developing as a result of the structural changes that are occurring within the NHS and particularly within the allied health professions (AHPs). We believe our experience in developing systems for the NHS has provided us with a fantastic insight into the clinical needs of AHPs which we have coupled with cutting-edge design to deliver an extremely simple, but highly-usable application for small private practices.”

Unlike more traditional systems, there is no software to download and the system is paid for on a monthly basis with prices starting at £14.95 a month.

“The interest we have had in the product has been remarkable,” said Bond. “We have just launched it and already we have customers in the UK, US and Denmark.”
