Yorkshire-based Delta Construction Consultants has been appointed by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to provide the building control provision for the new Rob Burrow Centre project.
Located in Leeds, the Rob Burrow Centre will be for Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
This follows Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust awarding the construction contract to Yorkshire-based construction firm, I&G, which was announced in April.
The new facility, which will be located on the Seacroft Hospital site, will bring a much-needed resource to the region and see all MND services housed under one roof for the first time.
The new Centre is named after rugby league legend, Rob Burrow CBE, who campaigns for MND after being diagnosed with the condition in 2019.

Leeds Hospitals Charity will fund the new Centre through fundraising to bring Rob’s vision to life.

However, construction on the first-of-its-kind motor neurone disease centre in the UK has “not yet started on site,” a spokesperson for I&G told Building Better Healthcare.
“Contracts have been awarded and preparations are underway – we expect to begin in the next month or so,” the spokesperson concluded.

Further, Delta Construction Consultants also recently announced that its application to become a Registered Building Control Approver (RBCA) has been approved by the Building Safety Regulator (BSR).
Delta Construction Consultants are now regulated by the Building Safety Regulator and are listed on the Building Safety Regulator online portal as a Registered Building Control Approver.
All the surveyors at Delta Construction Consultants are listed as Class 3 Registered Building Inspectors the highest accolade a Building Inspector can achieve.
