Following evaluation by an Infection Prevention Society (IPS) panel; E-COs’ Ultra Violet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) technology has been officially endorsed.
Hillary Spicer, chief executive at E-CO, said: “The need for a reduction of airborne distribution of bacteria, viruses and moulds and effective surface decontamination is now well recognised. Our suite of UVGI products have been designed for enhanced environmental decontamination of surfaces and to reduce the redistribution of airborne micro-organisms spread air-conditioning and ventilation systems.
“We hope this latest endorsement will help inform the conversation among infection control professionals to address such transmission through ventilation and air-conditioning systems.”
The High-Intensity Germicidal UVGI arrays are effective at significantly reducing micro-organisms, including viruses, bacteria and mould spores from air-flows and surfaces that are directly subjected to the UVGI light rays.
