Ocura Healthcare Furniture has launched a new plastic, anti-microbial chair giving hospitals a strong and stylish alternative to traditional seating

The versatile Milos chair is ideal for a wide range of hospital areas including waiting areas, visitor seating and wards.

It is significantly more effective at fighting infection risks that traditional chairs, with anti-microbial properties throughout. In addition there are no joints or fixings to harbour bacteria and no upholstery to tear.

Graham Whitbourn, Ocura Healthcare Furniture’s Manager, said: “Hospitals are increasingly turning to plastic moulded furniture to help them overcome the challenge of finding furniture that not only looks great and compliments their décor but also ticks all the boxes when it comes to infection control.

“We have received fantastic feedback on the Milos chair, which is already in high demand and we look forward to seeing them in hospitals throughout the UK.”

The launch of the Milos anti-microbial chair is part of a concerted drive to offer hospitals the latest in healthcare design and manufacturing techniques.

It is available with or without arms and in a range of colours. Its anti-tilt legs and sturdy construction ensure it can withstand heavy every day use.

The Milos is the most recent addition to Ocura’s seating range which has seen six new chairs introduced this year alone including the Verona Therapy Chair and the Colorado Wide Armed recliner chair.

Other new products include the mobile workstation, the Texa compact operator stool and Nevis bedside cabinet.
