A new integrated health centre has opened in Wandsworth which brings together GP, dental and neighbourhood health services into one facility.
NHS Property Services said it reinvested approximately £10m from the sale of the former Brocklebank site to help fund the new, more sustainable building.
The health centre has been delivered through a partnership between NHS South West London, NHS Property Services, Brocklebank Group Practice and Wandsworth Council to support the healthcare needs of both existing and future communities.
The three-storey Brocklebank Health Centre forms part of the wider Atheldene regeneration programme, which is delivering new council homes, community facilities and public realm improvements in the area.
The facility consolidates GP services alongside community dental services provided by King's College Hospital, community health services from Central London Community Healthcare and podiatry services delivered by Cora Health.
The development is designed to improve access to neighbourhood healthcare by co-locating services within a single building, supporting the government's 10-Year Health Plan ambition to deliver more care closer to patients' homes.
The health centre was officially opened during a visit by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, who met staff and unveiled a commemorative plaque.
