Medway NHS Foundation Trust has reached a key milestone in its virtual care programme, completing a rapid digital platform transition as it scales a full virtual hospital within an integrated neighbourhood care model.

Virtual care refers to the delivery of healthcare services remotely, using digital technologies such as mobile apps, remote monitoring devices, and video consultations.

The Trust, one of the largest and most progressive NHS organisations in the Southeast of England, partnered with London-based health technology provider Feebris to deliver the transformation. 

Feebris is a UK-based specialist in AI-powered remote patient monitoring solutions designed to support virtual care models in primary, community and secondary care.

The collaboration has ensured continuity of patient care while achieving tangible improvements in efficiency, patient experience and clinical outcomes, setting a new benchmark for virtual care delivery in the NHS.

At the heart of the initiative is a commitment to "measuring what matters". 

As virtual wards become standard across the NHS, the Trust’s SMART (Surgical, Medical, Acute and Recovery Team) is leading efforts to identify and evidence the key metrics underpinning the business case for a virtual hospital at scale.
