The challenges presented by COVID-19 have resulted in the cancellation of many of this year’s healthcare events. However, medical trade fair MEDICA decided to, as it said: “Turn challenges into new opportunities” by making 2020’s event a virtual experience, uniting thousands of international exhibitors and visitors for four days of knowledge transfer and networking – virtual.MEDICA 2020. The digital interactive event will include virtual exhibitors and the usual range of presentations and lectures on topics related to medical technology, laboratory medicine, health IT, sports medicine and health policy.
It has been more than 25 years since Medstor first exhibited in Europe at Interhospital, which went on to join with MEDICA to become the world’s largest event for the medical sector. The team is looking forward to once again joining other leading international companies at virtual.MEDICA 2020. Exhibitors will be able to present their product highlights and innovations in the online showrooms, take part in live web sessions and participate in the exhibitor video area.
A huge part of MEDICA is the opportunity it offers to network and meet potential customers and distributors. To ensure this is not lost in the new virtual format, trade visitors and exhibitors will be able to make direct contacts and connect in the Networking Plaza via live video meetings. So, while it will undoubtedly be a different event from last year, it is hoped that virtual.MEDICA 2020 will offer the same valuable experience for everyone attending.
Allison Seabourne, Sales Director at Medstor said: “We always enjoy participating in MEDICA. The fact that it is a virtual event may allow us to reach even more people – visitors can ‘attend’ from their own PC, laptop, tablet or even smartphone, without the usual costs associated with travel and accommodation. This democratisation of the event means we can showcase our products to a wider audience than ever before! New challenges, new opportunities – Medstor is here to embrace them.”
