LSI Architects has been appointed to the new NHS Property Services (NHS PS) Architects Framework, giving the practice a direct route to support estate transformation projects across England.
The three‑year framework, extendable by an additional year, enables NHS organisations to procure architectural expertise for major refurbishment, redevelopment and strategic planning initiatives.
Awarded for four geographic lots
LSI Architects has been awarded a place on all four geographic lots of the framework: North, Midlands, London and the South.
The appointment positions the practice to support NHS PS in managing and improving a diverse estate of over 2,700 properties.
The framework will be used for a wide range of architectural services, including:
- early‑stage feasibility and estates strategy
- design and planning of new clinical and non‑clinical facilities
- refurbishment and expansion works
- ongoing improvement and estate optimisation projects
LSI’s appointment means that NHS teams nationwide can directly access the practice’s specialist healthcare design expertise.
“We’re really pleased to have been reappointed to the NHS Property Services Framework for Architectural Services,” said Jeremy O’Rourke, Director at LSI Architects.
Building on recent NHS projects
The appointment comes as LSI Architects continues to deliver on projects for the NHS.
The practice has designed the Community Diagnostic Centres at James Paget University Hospital and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn.
It is one of the first facilities delivered under the NHS Community Diagnostic Centre initiative.
LSI has also led on design for new outpatient diagnostic facilities in Norfolk and Waveney, which will house MRI, CT, X‑ray and ultrasound services.
The facility is part of a £85.9mprogramme, the largest capital investment in diagnostic imaging in the region for over 20 years.
