There is now exactly one week to go until the closing date for entries to this year’s Building Better Healthcare Awards .
Already, we have received a large number of nominations in all categories, with 14 awards in total up for grabs, as well as the special Clinician’s Choice and Patient’s Choice gongs.
So, if you are yet to register your interest, then you have just a few more days to pitch your building, medical device or technology to our panel of esteemed judges.
Entries should include a 350-word summary of the nominated project, covering all the bulletpoints set out in the judging criteria, which can be found on the home page of the awards website. Once you have registered your entry, and paid the processing fee of £95 plus VAT, you will be given the option of uploading further information, including up to 10 images and supporting statements from staff, patients and other key stakeholders. Remember, the judges can only go on the information you provide, so make sure your entry stands out from the crowd and matches the criteria as closely as possible.
After the closing date all entries will be compiled and sent to all the judges. They will then choose their favourites before a shortlist is announced in early September. At this point, the judges may request further information, or carry out site visits, in order to support the final decision-making process. The lucky winners’ details will then be kept under wraps until the prize-giving ceremony on 7 November at The Brewery in central London.
This year’s event will begin with an exhibition and champagne reception, before delegates move into the dining hall, where they will enjoy a plush four-course meal before the ceremony begins. We will be announcing this year’s celebrity host, and the menu, over the coming weeks, so keep an eye out on the website and in our weekly newsletters.
So, if you think you have created a landmark building that will change the way we design future healthcare premises, or you have invented a medical device, product or technology which will improve patient outcomes, enhance the patient experience, or increase productivity, then this is your last chance to get the recognition you deserve from you peers.
All winners will receive a trophy and will see details of their project written up in both the Winners’ Book which will be given out to all delegates at the ceremony, and on the Building Better Healthcare website.
