Innova Care Concepts has secured three separate hospital bed contracts for facilities across the UK in just 10 days.
The company was originally contacted through the NHS Supply Chain by Princess Elizabeth Hospital in Guernsey and was invited to the island to demonstrate its beds.
After trialling the beds and getting feedback from patients, Innova was selected as the hospital’s supplier of choice for the foreseeable future on a framework agreement.
In the same week, Leicestershire NHS Partnership Trust agreed a contract for several units, and Harrogate Hospital placed an initial order with the intent to buy more in the upcoming months.
Joe Hulbert, sales director at Innova, said: “It’s a tremendous achievement to become an approved NHS framework agreement partner; but to have three agreements like this in such a short span of time is simply incredible. In this case, our LowLine bed has been selected by all three hospitals.
“We came up with a custom solution that would suit anything from patients at the end of life, through to individuals in mental health wards. The fact that our beds will be used at locations nationwide, and even offshore, is testament to the fact that hospitals are now looking to invest in more reliable, high-quality equipment that will suit their patients’ needs.”
Innova’s LowLine bed was designed to prevent and minimise injuries caused by falls from bed. The bed descends to just 10cm from the ground, and has been modelled to blend in with typical bedroom furniture. With a versatile set-up and lots of options available, the LowLine has proven to span acute and mental health environments with ease.
