Full compliance for Ensemble system

Published: 27-Jun-2011

Intersystems has announced that its Ensemble solution has been awarded full compliance on an additional nine Interoperability Toolkit (ITK) version 1.0.0 specification service bundles by the National Integration Centre and Assurance (NICA) Technology Office. A seamless platform for the integration and development of connectable applications, Ensemble is widely used in NHS trusts in England, in the national Welsh LIMS programme, and is the national integration platform for NHS Scotland. This landmark achievement builds upon Ensemble being the first to attain an ITK accreditation from NICA in September 2010. Brett Marshal, head of NICA, said: "Our goal is that within two years the majority of healthcare applications will be ITK compliant, enabling data to flow more easily between trust departments and, crucially, existing spine systems. Once again InterSystems is the first to achieve full accreditation for its remaining services bundles and it is already working on practical deployments at several NHS sites." Jonathan Selby of InterSystems added: "We are proud of our work in achieving full compliance on so many of the ITK services bundles for Ensemble, which is fast becoming the de facto platform to seamlessly integrate new capability with existing systems based on the ITK industry standard."
