The Yorkshire Clinic has become the first UK site to install Fujifilm’s newly updated FDR Visionary Suite, a fully digital X‑ray system designed to improve imaging speed, accuracy and patient experience.
The new model installed at The Yorkshire Clinic features a 12‑inch touchscreen tube head, live patient view camera, wireless controls, and automated positioning tools.
The updates enable faster exams and reduce the need for retakes.
Staff report improved workflow and greater efficiency in both general and specialist imaging.
"The new design of our X-ray room presents a more welcoming feel. To put patients at ease, I often ask them what their favourite colour is and change the LED lighting in the room to reflect this,” said Rhianna Hurd, Radiographer at The Yorkshire Clinic.
Previous UK installations of the FDR Visionary Suite (in various configurations or earlier versions) have taken place at other hospitals.
This includes at BMI The Thornbury Hospital, where the suite’s advanced detectors and image-processing capabilities have delivered high-quality images at lower radiation doses.
Fujifilm says the Visionary Suite is designed to support modern radiology departments with faster workflows, enhanced image quality, and improved patient care.
