GRAHAM Construction has been named as the successful bidder for a £134m NHS Grampian contract to develop two new health facilities at the Foresterhill Health Campus in Aberdeen.
The largest project to date to be procured through the Health Facilities Scotland Framework; the work will see the creation of the new Baird Family Hospital, bringing together all services at the existing Aberdeen Maternity Hospital and breast and gynaecology services from the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI).
The second facility – the ANCHOR Centre - will include day patient and outpatient oncology and haematology services relocating from the ARI.
Jackie Bremner, NHS Grampian project director, said: “We look forward to working with GRAHAM Construction to create high-quality, modern facilities that will help enable us to deliver quality care designed for the future for the people of the North East, North of Scotland and the Northern Isles.”
Construction work will begin in 2018, with completion expected in 2020.
