Triple-glazed Vistamatic MAX-XL designed to improve the patient environment and enhance visibilty

More than 140 specialist vision panels from Vistamatic have been installed at the new Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh.

Supplied to contractor, Glasgow-based Dorsuite, 142 of Vistamatic’s unique triple-glazed Vistamatic MAX-XL, both non-fire rated and FD30 fire rated, were made to measure specially for the £500m facility, which replaces the old Royal Hospital for Sick Children.

Designed to bring a streamlined appearance to internal doors, these full-length panels fit vertically into any door blank and were primarily used in the hospital’s patient rooms.

Easy to fit and install, with no cutting or drilling required, they can be manually operated to open or close the glazed observation panels.

A selection of smaller glazed secure vision panels were also created as part of the order.

These offer a large viewing aspect while giving the appearance of a venetian blind.
