Veolia to deliver specialist engineering and maintenance services to NHS buildings

Veolia has been appoint to the service after securing a place on the North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative Hard FM Framework

Veolia, global resource management company, is set to deliver Specialist Estates Engineering and Maintenance Services to a range of NHS and public sector authorities, after securing a place on the North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative (NOE CPC) Hard FM Framework.

With a focus on maintaining essential infrastructure to support hospitals and local authorities, and reducing carbon emissions, the framework agreement will provide a wide range of cost-effective services for buildings across the UK.

Designed to provide a one-stop shop for organisations to meet their engineering and maintenance requirements, the framework will provide customers with expert services that combine quality, value, and compliance.

The NOE CPC is solely owned by the NHS

The comprehensive range of services from Veolia includes:

  • The provision of renewable and low-carbon heating systems
  • Solar PV electricity generation
  • Air conditioning
  • Electrical works
  • Heating and plumbing
  • Standby power generation
  • Managed FM

Committed to maximising the economic and environmental benefit through bespoke procurement solutions for the public sector, the NOE CPC framework agreements are linked to the NHS Net Zero supplier roadmap which aims to achieve the world’s first net zero national health service. 

Commenting on this latest project, John Abraham, Chief Operating Officer for Industrial, Water & Energy for UK, Ireland and Nordics, said: "Through this new framework agreement we will be able to extend our services to more NHS and public sector facilities, and help accelerate decarbonisation."

Veolia currently provides energy and facilities management to over 100 hospitals in the UK, and these support the healthcare for around 8.1 million inpatients each year, reducing CO2 emissions in the sector by 120,000 tonnes.

The NOE CPC is solely owned by the NHS and hosted by Leeds and York Partnerships NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT).
