Philips EasySuite and Philips MediaSuite LED TVs are designed for the healthcare market

TP Vision has announced the availability of a new range of Philips healthcare LED TVs for hospitals, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centres.

Philips EasySuite and Philips MediaSuite LED TVs come with a dedicated healthcare features requirement and are compatible with nursecall solutions. They also meet security requisites for medical environments through double isolation-Class(II), fulfilling the requirement of galvanic isolation; and are easy to maintain, easy to use and available at low cost.

Screen sizes start at 55cm (22’’) and go up to 140cm (55’’) for spacious rooms and communal areas .

Patients can watch the TVs without disturbing others thanks to a special headphone socket that connects to pillow speakers or headphones.

A specific pairing mechanism also allows up to 14 Philips remote controls to be used in a room without interfering with each other. This prevents the wrong TV from being switched over in multi-bed rooms.

TP Vision now offers a new wipe-clean remote control for use in healthcare environments, which is an option available for all Philips professional TVs. The white Philips healthcare remote control has an easy-to-clean, non-soiling, smooth surface with seamlessly-integrated buttons. The remote is resistant to water and alcohol and its battery compartment is lockable.

Philips healthcare TVs’ remote installation features support healthcare organisations by minimising both initial and ongoing running costs for the TVs. This ensures low total cost of ownership. The TV settings can easily be cloned to ensure the consistent set-up of all sets in all rooms. This can be done either through cloning, using a USB stick to copy the master settings to each TV, or through SmartInstall. This PC-based tool allows remote installation, configuration and channel mapping to be carried out without the need to disturb patients. In addition, installation menu locking prevents patients from unintentionally changing the configuration settings and increasing the need for maintenance.

Given the cost pressures in the healthcare sector, return of investment and low cost of ownership are increasingly important. MyChoice is an integrated solution unique to Philips professional TVs that helps organisations to optimise both. Through MyChoice, patients can purchase PIN code protected premium content without the hospital or nursing home incurring any additional infrastructure costs. With MyChoice, they can easily select the TV channels they want to offer their patients as ‘premium channels’. Users can acquire the PIN codes via special kiosks that have proven to be successful in larger facilities or via web-based applications.

Philips healthcare TVs come in a sleek design with rounded shapes for easy cleaning. All EasySuite and MediaSuite sets are available in black, but the EasySuite models with screen sizes of 61cm (24’’) and 66cm (26’’) in diagonal are also available in a glossy white finish. Thanks to their advanced LED backlighting technology, the TVs have a slim casing.
