Tilbury Douglas, a UK-based building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out company, has topped out of the Catterick Integrated Care Campus.
The Catterick Integrated Care Campus is a first-of-its-kind integration between the Ministry of Defence and the NHS. The Campus will deliver transformative integrated health and care services to the military and civilian communities.
The Catterick Integrated Care Campus' planning application and initial phase of construction were previously reported by Building Better Healthcare.
Catterick Integrated Care Campus is expected to be handed over in Spring 2026 and operational by Autumn 2026. Upon completion, this project will stand as a model for future integrated healthcare facilities.
The collaboration will enable shared facilities expertise and learning to optimise the health and care services for people across Catterick, North Yorkshire and the wider Richmondshire areas.
This significant milestone was celebrated with a special ceremony that brought together representatives from The Ministry of Defence’s Defence Infrastructure Organisation, Tilbury Douglas, Vivo, UK Strategic Command (UKSC), the National Health Service (NHS) and AECOM.

The topping-out ceremony, a time-honoured tradition in the construction industry, involved the project team gathering to sign the steel beam that will form the roof of the new facility.
This symbolic act underscores the collaborative effort of all partners involved in the project and signifies the nearing of completion of the building’s structural framework.

The MOD’s Defence Infrastructure Organisation awarded the design and construction contract to Tilbury Douglas, which includes a substantial commitment to social value.
