Medtech companies are being offered a helping hand with the launch of a series of business surgeries aimed at helping entrepreneurs take their products to market.
The South East Health Technologies Alliance (SEHTA) will hold the events on 6 and 13 February at City Hall in London.
They follow on from a successful pilot held in October.
The surgeries will advise on business strategy, business planning, and funding options and will provide an overview on the current marketplace.
A spokesman for Forte Medical, which attended the pilot surgery to help market its specimen collection systems, said: “This kind of help is rare and valuable and we were delighted to be part of, and to benefit from, the SEHTA initiative."
A spokesman for healthcare IT solutions company, Cura Systems, added: “We found the business surgery tremendously useful and would highly recommend it for an early-stage company like us.
The SEHTA mentors have a wealth of industry experience and connections, which we were lucky get exposure to."
