Sir Robert McAlpine announces Chief Executive transition

UK-based construction company Sir Robert McAlpine has announced the appointment of Neil Martin as its new Chief Executive

Sir Robert McAlpine, a UK-based construction company, has appointed Neil Martin as its new Chief Executive.

Neil Martin will replace the current Chief Executive, Paul Hamer, on Monday 19 February.  

A spokesperson for Sir Robert McAlpine told Building Better Healthcare that Paul Hamer’s seemingly sudden departure was “a mutually agreed and planned transition for all parties.”

The former Lendlease Chief Executive joins Sir Robert McAlpine at an ideal time when the business is on track to deliver strong half-year results. 

Martin will be building on Sir Robert McAlpine’s recent performance, further driving projects in its main sectors, including healthcare, commercial office, industrial, infrastructure, major and special projects.

Neil Martin said: “Sir Robert McAlpine is one of the most respected businesses in the sector.

 “Its reputation for building excellence and enviable 155-year history sets it apart from others. 

“It is an absolute honour to become Chief Executive of a company that has worked on some of the country’s most iconic landmarks.
