Saba has won a new contract with Milton Keynes University Hospital to provide parking management of the staff, patient and visitor car parks across the site.
The contract, confirmed for the next five years, and eligible for a potential contract extension; will be focused on making improvements that will enhance the overall customer experience for visitors, patients and staff using the 2,020 spaces on site.
The investment will include new signage and parking equipment, which will ease congestion and improve traffic flow.
New technology will include improvements to the pay-and-display parking process, such as the installation of solar pay and display equipment.
The new machines will give customers the option to pay for parking with cash, card or contactless, and within the multi-storey car parks new barrier equipment and pay-on-foot equipment will allow customers to purchase daily or weekly tickets.
The automatic barriers will also be equipped with induction loops and an intercom so that customers will be able to easily contact Saba’s customer support centre.
The contract at Milton Keynes will further add to Saba’s healthcare profile, which also includes Addenbrooke’s, Lister, Derriford and Darent Valley hospitals.
Andy Marr, regional commercial manager at Saba UK, said: “With experience across more than 800 car parks in the UK, we recognise the need to use technology and innovation to create a seamless journey for patients, visitors and staff alike.
“Over the next few months we look forward to implementing a tailored customer plan, using modern technology and our wealth of expertise, to form an efficient and enjoyable experience for all.”
