North Tyneside General opens refurbished MRI centre following £1.5m upgrade

The Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and partners from InHealth, provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions, have opened a refurbished MRI centre at North Tyneside General Hospital. 

InHealth was the operational and specialist diagnostic partner throughout the project, managing and delivering MRI scanning services within the hospital under a long-term partnership with the NHS Trust.

The opening was celebrated during a ribbon‑cutting ceremony on 12th January. 

Guests at the event were given a tour of the facility ahead of the ribbon‑cutting, celebrating enhanced capabilities for patient care across the region. 

Installation of the Siemens Sola MRI scanner 

The refurbishment includes the installation of a new Siemens Sola MRI scanner featuring cutting‑edge AI‑enabled Siemens Deep Resolve technology.
