Asteral wins King Edward VII hospital contract

The King Edward VII Hospital in London has signed a managed maintenance service (MMS) contract with supplier, Asteral. The deal covers the private hospital's maintenance needs for radiology imaging equipment for at least three years. As part of the deal, Asteral will provide a point of contact for all maintenance issues via its response desk. Helen Burnip, cross sectional superintendent at the hospital, said: "Due to having numerous clinical modalities, it's extremely useful to have only one number for the response desk to deal with every maintenance issue". Adrian Waller of Asteral added: "We are in a strong position to not only deliver value and cost savings on existing maintenance contracts, but also increased uptime and service delivery. We effectively act on behalf of the hospital to maximise savings and performance from suppliers, allowing them to focus on delivering world-class patient care."
