Expansion plans lead to upgrade of staff car park

NCP has secured a 29-year lease on a multi-storey car park at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital which provides 702 spaces for hospital staff.

This announcement comes following a decision by NCP to significantly expand its estate, with areas across the North and Midlands including Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, York, Coventry, and Chester being a key focus for the business.

NCP has also committed to investing in the region of £300,000 on improvements throughout the car park.

As part of this, there will be an upgrade on all the parking equipment, enabling it to be fully integrated with NCP’s 24/7 customer contact centre to improve the overall parking experience.

Lighting throughout the multi-storey car park will also be upgraded and replaced with LED to offer the hospital staff a better environment during their visit, while reducing the car park’s carbon footprint.

Lee Holland, property director at NCP, said: “The long-term lease of this car park continues to show our commitment to grow our business in major cities and towns in the UK, across a range of sectors including healthcare.

“We’re delighted to be working with the hospital authority to continue providing and improving the facilities for their staff.

“What’s more, we believe the full-scale upgrade of all our equipment as part of this contract will ensure that staff at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital experience an excellent parking service, 24 hours a day, seven days a week as they carry out their vital work.”
