Transformation specialist, Moorhouse, has appointed Richard Jones as director of its health team, working with clients from across the NHS and the wider healthcare sector.
Jones joins from PA Consulting, where he worked in the programme management practice, supporting clients in the health economy to deliver their strategic objectives including cost reduction and responding to changes resulting from the Health & Social Care Bill. Prior to this he held a range of positions with JDS Group, Michael Page International and Deloitte.
He said: “It is an exciting time to be joining Moorhouse, a company with such a strong track record in the delivery of change and transformation programmes. The health sector is experiencing a mammoth reformation and a once-in-a-generation re-organisation. There is enormous pressure on the service, and its restructuring means new bodies will be delivering new services and needing different kinds of support.”
He added: “Sound project and programme management skills are needed to help it do more with less resource, and to operate efficiently. There is a huge amount of important work to be done to support the sector to establish its new structures and to be fully operational from April next year. I’m looking forward to working with organisations to translate their strategy into delivery.”
Stephen Vinall, Moorhouse managing director, added: “We are very pleased to welcome Richard into the Moorhouse team, as someone with a proven track record in helping health organisations deliver their vision and strategy. He is a major addition to our successfully growing business.”
