Mckesson Online staff record goes live in England and Wales

Mckesson UK has announced that the NHS Electronic Staff Record (ESR) for England and Wales has gone live on the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1, making it one of the largest deployments of its kind in the world. The upgrade futureproofs this critical service for 1.4 million NHS staff members, providing integrated HR and payroll solutions. Frank Rutley, workforce solutions director at McKesson, said: "This complete workforce solution has already supported the NHS to deliver more than £210m in savings. Furthermore, studies by the NHS ESR Central Team have identified a potential for further annual benefits to be realised across the NHS. At a time when the public sector is required to make significant efficiency improvements, it makes clear sense to utilise existing resources and systems to their full capabilities, like that of ESR. It was from this consideration that we realised the importance of upgrading the service to the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 to help support NHS organisations in these challenging times."
