Insignia moves east with latest go live at Bedford Hospital NHS Trust
PACS system will enable future image sharing across hospitals
Insignia Medical Systems has been selected by, and has successfully gone live at, Bedford Hospital NHS Trust.
Having transferred nearly 80 million images, equating to just over 12 years of work, Insignia PACS is now being used across the 360-bed site.
Bedford chose Insignia to provide its full suite of PACS products including the industry-leading InSight 4D viewer, with the trust making plans to enable image sharing within the region.
Speaking about the go live, Insignia project manager, Julie Guest, said: “The new Insignia PACS has been very well received and it’s clear that the solution will bring huge benefits to the trust.”
With over 30% of trusts in the South using Insignia’s InSight PACS solution, Bedford is the latest in the East of England to sign up, along with Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust, and Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as part of the Essex Success Regime.
