Camfil is the first company in Europe to develop an energy-efficient air filter which delivers optimum energy savings - providing clean air for a sound indoor environment for the benefit of human health.
The new Opakfil ES is available in filter classes F7, F8 and F9 and is rated in energy class A+ according to the new Eurovent classification, which came into effect on January 1 this year.
The new 2015 Eurovent energy and efficiency classification places much higher demands on the energy use of air filters.
The requirement for an A class F7 filter was previously 1200 kWh per year. The new requirement for the same filter class and energy class A+ is 800 kWh per year. This difference alone brings energy savings per filter of 400 kWh per year.
Opakfil ES cannot only be used in new construction projects, it can also be retro-fitted in all existing ventilation systems. This means that the potential energy savings are very large if all F7, F8 and F9 filters in Europe were to be replaced by the new Opakfil ES A+ air filter from Camfil.
Opakfil ES offers a filtration efficiency in all filter classes F7, F8 and F9, which at the lowest ME value (Minimum Efficiency) far exceeds the limits in the European standard EN779:2012.
Choosing a high-ranked filter can save companies up to 20% more energy over the year per filter. Using the right air filter will not only help save more energy, it will also help save money, and keep a healthy indoor air quality.
Maintaining a healthy indoor environment is good for staff or the building inhabitants. Clean air results in less sick days, increased productivity and wellbeing.
When it comes to taking care of unhealthy particles in the outside air, like carcinogenic diesel particles from vehicles and ultrafine particles from other kinds of combustion in our cities, which affects our health in a negative way, it is extremely important to have supply air filters in the ventilation system which are efficient enough.
