With the launch of GE Lighting’s DALI lighting controls system, customers can source a complete lighting solution for a wide range of applications.
The new controls allow end users to benefit from daylight harvesting, presence detection and the opportunity to maximise energy savings – as well as achieve a well-lit environment.
The new range of multi-functional DALI controls provide a basic and easy-to-use level of lighting control. Suitable for a range of buildings, the controls are available for all DALI ready GE luminaires and can be integrated with the popular KNX building management system.
When selecting GE luminaires with lighting controls, end-users can benefit from presence detection. This ensures that areas such as corridors, storage and IT cupboards are only lit when people enter the space and with the ability to lower light levels as well, energy savings can be maximised.
GE Lighting’s DALI CB Type 1 is an easy out of the box to commission system. The unit allows for up to 64 DALI ballasts/drivers to be individually assigned and zones set with the basic controller. In addition to Type 1 is the DALI CB Type 2, which allows for the control of up to 100 DALI or analogue ballasts/drivers. The Type 2 system provides two different types of push button functions as well as dimming with potentiometers for simple dimming applications.
“The launch of our lighting control range is significant step for us,” aid Mike Barrett, general manager of product management for GE Lighting.
“It means end-users benefit from reliable lamps and fittings from a trusted brand, along with the ability to maximise energy savings with lighting controls. Our customers now have the assurance that this can be achieved from one single source of supply, which is incredibly beneficial.”
